Syandene have been writing poetry for 15 years now but have just recently embarked onto the performance poetry circuit, performing at the 'Blessed Souls' showcase last year and the 'Beginners Poetry.com' showcase, a fairly new poetry organisation that showcases new talent.

My background in the creative arts is as a singer/songwriter, musician and I am now looking to combine music and poetry by working on a new project with a jazz producer. Primarily now though I am concentrating on performance poetry with a view to building up a substantial profile and a following for my brand of poetry, which has been described as soulful, powerful and deep.

I draw from my life's experiences and through working on various urban music projects over the years I have been able to bring that wealth of experience into the arena of writing for various unknowns, producers and singers. I am currently working on new material for an online magazine that promotes the spoken word in all its variations.
