Singing has always been the first passion for Sweet Ambition. Coming from such a musically influenced background almost made it inevitable. From an early age, her talent was encouraged, receiving vocal lessons from her mother and inspired by her father, who was a rock musician.

Powerful singers such as Aretha Franklin, Dina Carol, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Keys have also had a huge impact on the South West London based singer. Seeing Alicia Keys perform and meeting her in person on the freedom tour enthused Ambition’s passion for music.

Sweet Ambition believes that writing and producing her own music creates a more intimate connection, not just seeing music as a form of expression but as an important message.

“Music is everything to me, it’s a part of who I am, my songs come from my heart, they reflect on my own personal struggles as well as the environment. We all experience the same emotions in life and I believe that music is our therapy. Music is very powerful.”
