EAN Review...
At only 19 Rebekah is able to captivate an audience and bring them to tears with her poignant, thought-provoking manipulation of words, which culminate into poems of artistic mastery.

Rebekah Stewart is an amazingly inspiring young Poet who is really going places.  With her deeply touching poetry she gets right to the heart of the matter. Read on as she explains who she is...

My tongue is the pen of a ready writer, inclined to speak up for people that have no influence. I describe myself as a sponge, I immerse myself in my surroundings and what I see around me ,and then once my heart is full it begins to pour out.

My real interests in Poetry began when I attended a Poetry Slam in 2007. After, I had a desire to ‘write’; what was on my heart, I performed and won first place, this opened a new chapter in my life. Most recently I have performed at Voices from Zion chapter 3 at Fairfield halls and Legacies Uncovered.

I am always laughing no matter what, because if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. God has wired me to be creative, I enjoy sewing dresses, and drawing in my spare time, and I refer to myself as a bookaholic. I am studying Sociology at Roehampton University in order to pursue a career in teaching.

My environment has influenced the person I’ve become. My Parents, wisdom and revelation shaped my outlook on life, and my seven siblings’ diverse talents and experiences have rubbed of on me.

I agree with what Keith Green said: If someone writes a poem, do you acknowledge, The Pencil or the Poet?

I am the Pencil and God is the Poet.
