Lilieth Hyacinth Nelson, born in Kingston, Jamaica, has been referred to frequently as an “Artistic Scientist”.
Lilieth’s first book of poems and accompanying CD entitled Angles of Reflection: Poems by Lil, was launched in Jamaica by Professor Rex Nettleford in September 2009. She takes her readers on a journey through acutely intense emotions and relationships, spirituality, anger and outrage at troubling socio-political issues, flashbacks to people, places and things in her world.
She is no stranger to the UK, having visited several times on work-related missions, and now returns to share her poems. In addition to sharing her artistic talent with audiences in the UK, Ms Nelson has graciously offered to donate 20% of all books and CDs purchased at her Reading, towards a designated Charity or Scholarship Fund.
