Nadia has always loved words, music, dance..Passionate about language and literature, she has been weaving words from childhood. San Francisco 1994, while on holiday she attended a poetry workshop writing about her experience of the city the same evening, that started a process of continual writing. A highlight being in 2001 winning a poetry competition, subject LOVE, resulted in reading her winning entry in the Covent Garden Piazza on Valentine’s Day. Nadia loves singing and has been a member of 2 choirs, currently in a gospel choir that has sang at Croydon’s biggest music event, the Summer Festival as well as performances for Black History Month and Youth concerts against Knife and Gun Crime.

As a teenager was a member of a London based dance group for many years renowned for recreating folk dances of the Caribbean, travelled across south east England showcasing these expressive dances. For Nadia any form of dancing represents total freedom, individuality and often peace, there is nothing like it for giving an individual the opportunity to be who they truly are.

She has a spontaneous nature, joining a group of drummers busking, the same day after buying a small drum while on holiday in Ibiza…there’s definitely a pattern developing with blossoming creativity and being abroad for Nadia.

She’s been self-employed, sold fashion jewellery, been a beauty consultant, started craft markets, all the time developing others in their creative pursuits while progressing in her own.

2010 is going to see Nadia take centre stage so watch out for her words and voice light up your heart.
